Viking Throws Clinics
Frequently Asked Questions
What do I need to bring to the clinic?
Wear athletic clothes, and shoes. Bring throwing shoes if you have them and if you can get an indoor shot put and discus from your coach, bring that as well. If you can’t get the shot put and/or discus, we will have a few on hand.
As a parent, can I stay and watch the clinic?
Parents and coaches are definitely welcome to watch and participate. As the athletes are being coached feel free to take notes, video tape, and ask questions. Coaches if you don’t have athletes attending, you can register you and/or your staff for $20.
Is the clinic more for beginning or experienced throwers?
Both! We break everything down to the most basic drills which are simple enough for the beginner but detail oriented to help the experienced thrower advance their abilities.
I want to throw for Grand View University; how do I let the coaches know?
